 Alex Masha

Above is a image of my only actor in this film. The reason why i only need one actor is because most of the scenes don't require anyone to do any specific movements as i thought it was better to get the people in the skate park to act naturally. the reason why i chose Alex was because he is confident on a bike which is required for a lot of the footage. i think that the filming has gone well when using Alex and i have gotten him to sign an actor release form so that i can use his image through out my production.

The form i used is linked below to slideshare.net

here is the completed form

filming dairy week 5

Filming dairy (continued)
I have just finished my first ruff trailer for my film “Life”. I think this has gone really well so far. I have added some film of the characters and I have shot these deliberately in a dark environment, I also shot them so as I said previously you cant see all there faces fully to maintain mystery around the characters.
All of these shot are going to be edited in a similar way to how I have shown the drugs in my film, I.E by flashing up for a second and then disappearing. I wanted to do this with the character shots because then it will make them look a lot more like they are all memories, instead of just random images of drugs and people.

i have also decided on the backing track i will use in my trailer. i have created a link below
http://soundcloud.com/you/tracks
i have sent a email to the publisher of the band and so far he has not replied.

filming dairy week 4

Filming dairy week 4
*I have just started to edit and made my first ruff trailer I think the POV shots work well but it still needs some shots of the character which I have so far not managed to do, due to various circumstances. At the moment I was thinking that instead of shots going into the sun of the character I could just have them doing jumps or tricks, this way because of the speed and angles they would be going at, and I could still create a little mystery around the characters. The reason why I want mystery around the characters is because if the audience don’t see there faces then it will be a lot easier for them to imaging them selves as the character, because there idea of them wont be changed or clouded by the way they look.

filming dairy week 3

Filming dairy week 3
I have watched over all of my footage and it doesn’t really tell a storey through out the trailer. I think I can improve this by maybe having some of the characters in the shots or just as a glimpse or having going into the sun, so you don’t see all of them just a glimpse or moment.
I have also tried to fake camera shots on the bike by walking and running with the camera and then speeding up the footage to the speed of the bike. So far this has not worked well as when there are people in the shots they look on film like they are travelling really fast, and it’s not realistic enough to work with.
